Hope & Cope

Hope & Cope’s Main Office volunteers brought their own special brand of holiday cheer to patients and families on December 13th, loading a hospitality cart filled with home-baked treats, Kosher packaged cookies, juice boxes and candy canes. While they didn’t log as many miles as Santa and his elves, they did cover an impressive amount of ground in the Segal Cancer Centre (waiting rooms on the 7th and 8th floors, Pulmonary Oncology and the Clinical Research Unit), the Radio-oncology Department and the Palliative Care Unit. Kudos to all the wonderful volunteers who contributed to this much appreciated holiday tradition, and special thanks to project coordinator, Lise Hillenbrand.

Hope & Cope

Our thanks to the Courey family for donating this beautiful wood trolley and silver-plated full tea service to Hope & Cope’s Palliative Care team in memory of their daughter. Volunteers serve high tea to patients and families on Tuesdays, a weekly tradition that is greatly appreciated by everyone on the unit. The plaque reads, "Donated by the Courey family in celebration of our lovely Chloe".

Le don est accompagné d’une plaque sur laquelle on peut lire :<< Donated by the Courey family in celebration of our lovely Chloé>>
